Childcare is available for infants & toddlers in the  Nursery Suite beginning at 6:25p.

                 presented (via DVD) by Dr. Del Tackett  of Focus on the Family.  Will cover key worldview

                  issues and questions.  Led by Manny Po.

Calvary Informational Class

Our “Discovering Calvary” Class,  for those interested in more information about Calvary or those interested in membership, will be changing it’s format.  It will now be divided into two separate classes. 

The first class “Calvary Matters”,  will be a one-hour class offered the second Sunday of each month at 12:30p.  Lunch will be provided.  The first “Calvary Matters” class will be offered September 19.  Please sign up on the Bulletin Board if interested. 

The second class, “Membership Matters”, will be offered on Thursdays, October 14, 21 & 28 at 7:00p  and will be the new required class for those desiring to become a member of Calvary.

Young At Heart Event

Young at Heart will have a Mediterranean Dinner on  September 18 at 5:30p in Fellowship Hall. 

 A Hymn Sing will follow in the Sanctuary. 

A free-will offering will be taken to benefit our Building Fund.

Woman’s Retreat

Ladies, it’s time to begin planning for our Harvey Cedars WMF Retreat.

Bethlehem Christian School

Calvary’s Annual Corn Roast

 

Mark you calendars! 

Sunday, September 12 at 4:00pm we will have our annual Corn Roast at our new property. Bring a lawn chair and a permanent marker to write with.

During the event we will have an opportunity to write Scripture on the concrete floor in the new Sanctuary before the permanent floor is put in place.

Moms In Touch Ministries

Attention Moms and Grandmothers!  Do you worry about your children?  Replace anxiety and fear with peace and hope by praying with other moms.  Moms In Touch International gathers moms to pray specifically and scripturally for our children, grandchildren and schools.

New Sunday School Class

Are you grounded in your faith?  Do you really understand your relationship with Jesus Christ?  Do you want to learn more?  For new Christians and those who have never seriously studied the Bible, a new class, “Fundamentals of the Faith”, will be starting Sunday, August 5 at 8:30a in the Library.

Jack Tanis and John Guido will lead the class.

Calvary Ministry Opportunities

There are many opportunities available to get involved and serve at Calvary:

Corn Roast

  • Volunteers are needed to help with the Corn Roast at the new property on September 12.  Please call Kris Hemphill at 610.867.5673 if you are able to serve.
  • Bakers needed!  If you are coming to the Corn Roast and like to bake, please bring 2 dozen of your favorite cookies (no nuts, please!) to share.  Please drop them off at the dessert table when you arrive.

 

 Thread Ministry

  • The Thread, which meets Sunday evenings at 6:30p, needs additional people to run the sound.  Requirements: ears and a willing heart.  Qualified candidates please contact Kellie Graham at 610.365.8408.

Helping Hands Ministry

  • Helping Hands Ministry begins its new season on September 2 and meets the first Thursday of every month at 10:00am in the Craft Room.  This ministry meets for work and fellowship, helping with office and missions projects.  Please bring old sheets we can use for White Cross work and a sandwich for lunch.  For more information please call Millie Kimock at 610.868.6023.
